The Camden Walk of Fame

North London town is twinning with Hollywood and creating a Walk of Fame this summer.

This summer, the North London borough of Camden is to be twinned with Hollywood.  A boulevard walkway of 30 discs to pay homage to our international musical idols is to be built this year in the iconic and influential Camden town.

North London’s Camden boasts a wealth of culture in the form of the world famous Camden markets and a plethora of big name music venues such as the Roundhouse. Camden has long been associated with the arts scene and emerging, underground music scenes  – so it only seems fitting that the commemorative disks are places here.

Amy Winehouse and Madness top the list of artists likely to be honored in the mile long stretch of pathway. Other speculations include rockers Led Zeppelin, the great Frank Sinatra and The Who. Grandmaster Flash is also set to be honored.

The organizers hope for this to become London’s highest musical accolade, with it being officially endorsed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Keep a lookout this summer as London pays tribute to the world’s musical superstars!
